How to Get to LGA by Train
Traveling to LaGuardia Airport (LGA) by train is a convenient and efficient option for those without a car or looking for an eco-friendly mode of transportation. 1. Take the LIRR to the Hunters Point Avenue Station:
First, board the LIRR at a station in Queens or Manhattan. If you’re coming from Manhattan, you can take the 1, 2, or 3 subway lines to Grand Central Terminal, where you can catch the LIRR. If you’re coming from Queens, you can take the 7 subway line to Flushing-Main Street, where you can board the LIRR.
2. Ride the LIRR to the Hunters Point Avenue Station:
Once on the LIRR, take the train to the Hunters Point Avenue Station. This station is located in Long Island City, Queens, and is the final stop on the LIRR’s Hunters Point line.
3. Transfer to the subway:
After arriving at the Hunters Point Avenue Station, exit the LIRR and walk to the subway station, which is located directly across the street. Take the subway to the 21st Street-Queensbridge station, which is on the E, F, and R lines.
