Before you begin, gather the following materials:

  • Keurig 2.0 water filter
  • Water filter wrench
  • New filter (if the old one is expired or clogged)

Step 1: Turn off the power

Before you start the installation process, ensure that your Keurig 2.0 is turned off and unplugged from the power source. This will prevent any accidents or damage to the machine.

Step 2: Remove the water reservoir

Locate the water reservoir on the top of your Keurig 2.0 and lift it off the machine. You may need to press the release button on the reservoir to remove it.

Step 3: Locate the water filter

Once the reservoir is removed, you will see the water filter located on the back of the machine. The filter is usually a plastic cylinder with a blue cap on top.

Step 4: Remove the old filter

Using the water filter wrench, gently turn the filter counterclockwise to remove it from the machine. If the old filter is expired or clogged, replace it with a new one. Ensure that the new filter is inserted with the blue cap facing up.

Step 5: Install the new filter

Place the new filter into the filter holder, making sure that the blue cap is facing up. Use the water filter wrench to turn the filter clockwise until it is securely in place.

Step 6: Reattach the water reservoir

Place the water reservoir back onto the Keurig 2.0, ensuring that it is properly aligned with the machine. Press down until you hear a click, indicating that the reservoir is securely attached.

Step 7: Turn on the machine and run a cleaning cycle

Plug in your Keurig 2.0 and turn it on. Run a cleaning cycle to remove any sediment or impurities from the machine. This will ensure that your first brew after installing the new filter is of the highest quality.
